Southport FC partner with Venture House Group

SFC Appoints Venture House Group As Its New EPoS Partner

We are pleased to announce our latest new commercial partnership as Venture House Group becomes the club’s EPos partner.

Venture House works closely with, and develops, EPoS systems based on ICRTouch software, which is a global leader in such software development with over 150,000 installations in the hospitality and retail sectors including the likes of the BBC, Portsmouth FC, Watford FC, Costa Coffee, Heineken, Silverstone Race Track and AFC Bournemouth.

As part of the partnership we have negotiated, Venture House has supplied the club with a brand new, bespoke touch screen till system covering all of our retail operations including the 1881 Bar and Lounge, the Bartercard Hospitality Lounge, our two outdoor bars, and the Club Shop.

Tom Harvey, Group Operations Director at Venture House, said “I’d like to thank Steve and the rest of the team at Southport FC for this partnership and the amazing opportunity to work with the club. From the first conversation with Southport FC, it was apparent that they were a forward-thinking football club, the way everyone involved from the volunteers to management, has been so enthusiastic and open-minded to the technology improvements we have implemented, and have been a pleasure to work with.”

Tom continued, “I can only see our partnership going from strength to strength in the future. I look forward to seeing continued growth and success at Southport FC. Up the Sandgrounders!”

Steve Dewsnip, Southport FC’s Head of Commercial & Operations said: “As our fans are well aware, Haig Avenue is a busy place on matchdays and it is vitally important that our electronic till and payment systems are modern, robust, up-to-date and, above all else, reliable. With all of this in mind, we are delighted to have agreed this partnership with Venture House. From our first brief, Tom and his colleagues have been very attendant to our needs and the speed from those initial discussions to installation has been nothing short of remarkable.”

As well as state of the art till terminals, integrated card readers and great software development and support, one of the additional exciting features of the partnership is the opportunity to develop our very own stadium ordering app with Venture House in the New Year. This will enable our supporters to place orders for drinks and merchandise on their personal mobile phone or tablet from the comfort of their own table, seat or terrace and collect them from designated collection points.

Steve added, “In the same way that the club has very real ambition to continue to progress on the pitch, this is the latest example of us taking another stride forward in our off-field development as we aim to keep improving the matchday experience for all visitors to Haig Avenue.”

You’ll soon notice your pub gardens filling up with heaps of customers wanting to enjoy cold refreshments and delicious food in the sunshine. As the footfall picks up, you’ll no doubt experience an increase in incoming orders across various channels, so you might want to consider replacing your outdated order management system to capitalise on this.
A deferred date has been set for the implementation of the new Employment (Allocation of Tips) Act. On 1st October 2024 it is proposed that this Act will make it unlawful for employers to withhold gratuities from their workers and ensure that tips are allocated fairly amongst all staff, including those on zero-hour contracts. Here’s what the new legislation means for the hospitality industry and how it will impact operations.
With hundreds of products and thousands of transactions each day, it can be challenging to identify trends and thoroughly analyse data on how your hospitality business is performing. Without this knowledge, it’s difficult to make intelligent business decisions, which is why a robust management system like TouchOffice Web is a vital asset. It provides a bird’s eye view of operations to ensure you’re managing resources as efficiently as possible heading into the busy summer season.
