A payment technology firm in Brighouse has won an industry award marking the success of the first year of its specialist electronic point of sale (EPOS) division.

Yorkshire Payments won the Best Newcomer category at the 2020 ICRTouch Partner Network Awards, designed to celebrate excellence in the electronic point of sale industry.

The company launched its EPOS division in February 2019 following a £200,000 investment.

Melissa Simons, head of operations at Yorkshire Payments, said: “We have enjoyed a very successful 12 months since launching our EPOS offering.

“We now have more than 50 EPOS clients and this number continues to grow, supported by our in-house team of EPOS experts.

“Being named best newcomer in these awards is a fantastic accolade that marks a successful year year and celebrates the excellent relationships our team has developed with ICRTouch.”

James Howard, managing director at Yorkshire Payments, added: “While we continue to focus on providing Yorkshire businesses with cost-effective access to card payment solutions and chip and pin terminals through our core offering, our EPOS division has been instrumental to our growth over the last 12 months and goes from strength to strength.
