ICRTouch a standout at the Takeaway & Restaurant Expo

ICRTouch were once again a standout exhibitor at the Takeaway and Restaurant Innovation Expo this year, held at the ExCeL Centre in London 26-27th Sept. A number of ICRTouch Partners from across the country were also exhibiting the product suite at the Expo.

This was a great opportunity for ICRTouch to get to meet the businesses and customers that will be using our software, and gain an insight into what people expect from an EPoS solution or better yet what they aren’t expecting that we can “wow” them with.

Takeaway owners, restaurateurs, hoteliers and retailers were able to get a walk-through demonstration of the innovative software available to them and see first hand how a complete ICRTouch solution could be an invaluable addition to their business.

Despite a swarm of eager visitors to the towering stand, tech experts were ready to assist every person, gain an understanding as to what their business is trying to achieve and then demonstrate the custom branded EPoS setups that would allow businesses small and large to instantly compete with major players in their respective markets.

Chief Technology Officer, James Johnson and Dave Benfield from First Data were asked to present and discuss the topic of The Digitisation of the Fast-Food Experience, live during the Expo. James highlighted the importance of capturing the online market, “…we have a national Fish and Chip restaurant chain that now use our online ordering platform. They have since seen a massive increase in the amount of sales for Thursdays in particular, especially customers that are using the pre-order functionality to collect their takeout at 5-6pm, presumably people pre-order their Fish and Chips for when they finish work.”

On the ICRTouch stand visitors were shown the custom branded online ordering platform, TouchTakeaway, which is available at a fixed low monthly fee with 0% commission on sales.

Two tills were running TouchPoint EPoS software with branded demo setups for a Quick Service Restaurant, offering a variety of features such as discount vouchers, customer loyalty, delivery driver assignment, split bill, multimedia rear display and more.

As sales were made on TouchPoint or TouchTakeaway, digital tickets were sent to TouchKitchen where chefs would be able to organise incoming orders and finish cooked items & meals.

The wall mounted CollectionPoint display would then announce that the order is ready to collect.

All the sales made by customers were instantly visible on TouchOffice Web, the comprehensive cloud-based back office software that immediately organises data collected into easy-to-analyse graphs and charts. Why not try TouchOffice Web for yourself. (www.touchoffice.net – User: Demo – Pass: Demo) Also on display was PocketTouch, handheld order pad software that sends orders error free from the table straight to the kitchen; and the TouchTakeaway Commander which allows processing of online orders without the need for an entire EPoS system.

At the show, business owners were able to pick up a free copy of ICRTouch’s How To Spot Fraud – A Manager’s Handbook that aims to bring to light the potential of theft in the workplace and how you can use ICRTouch software to spot and prevent it.

The exhibition was yet again a great success for ICRTouch and left restaurant and takeaway owners overly impressed, with many of them deciding that an ICRTouch EPoS system was the only way to enhance their business.

We can also announce that ICRTouch will be exhibiting at the 2018 Takeaway & Restaurant Innovation Expo for a 4th year which is set to be 100% larger yet again.

The Sophie’s Legacy charity was created in memory of Sophie Fairall, a remarkable young girl who sadly lost her battle with cancer back in 2021. She touched so many lives and, whilst in hospital, wrote a bucket list of wishes that she wanted to be carried out on her behalf. The aim of this list was to improve conditions for children and their families during stays in hospitals.
Every year, the Child of Wight Awards celebrate the courage, bravery and achievements of children across the Isle of Wight. The remarkable event presents 11 awards in total, each of which covers important aspects of a child’s life. In this year's event, ICRTouch is the proud sponsor of the ‘Best Sibling’ award, which recognises the immense love and appreciation siblings have for each other.
