Super Saturday – 4th July Reopening for Hospitality using ByTable App

Pubs opened for the first time since 23rd March – after 103 days…

When pubs and restaurants in the UK were finally allowed to open for the first time since lockdown began since 23rd March after 103 days, it was largely uneventful compared with predictions, largely thanks to ICRTouch and their Partner Networks Preparedness!

New data released by Springboard on Monday 6th July shows that footfall on English high streets rose 35.8 per cent on Saturday evening and 48.9 per cent on Sunday evening.

We have some impressive statistics of our own; On Saturday morning, an additional 3000 ICRTouch tills were switched on. Views of our ByTable apps peaked at around 62,000 at 6pm on Saturday… around 4 times the number compared to the same hour on the previous Saturday, with well over half a million uses throughout the day, compared to around 100,000 the previous Saturday.

The ICRTouch support team made themselves available at the weekend, but in the event, all ran smoothly. Support were not only ready and waiting to solve any problems, but were proactively watching error logs and calling their support partners to notify them of any potential issues with their customers before they could become a problem.

“One of our customers opened at 10am and closed at midnight. By then they had processed almost 1000 sales, over 3500 items (400 food and over 3000 drinks), and taken £16k – all through their ByTable app.”
