Elite Indian Restaurant

Elite Indian Restaurant offer a wide range of savory Vegetarian and Non-Vegetarian Indian dishes as well as an array of sweets. Elite has been in Colombo for many years. They have branches in Mt. Lavinia, Colombo 3 and Colombo 4. They serve north Indian, Sri Lankan, and Chinese cuisines. The word ‘SAWAN’ is synonymous with the Elite Indian Restaurant. Elite gets a lot of business, particularly takeaway orders and the speed and efficiency of the order process from billing to pickup has built a loyal and satisfied customer base.

The Challenge

Owners of Elite were looking for an EPOS System for their Mt. Lavinia branch that would process orders and payments quickly and efficiently. The existing system was unstable, causing problems for customers and staff alike, often with long and unnecessary waits for customers causing queues and a slow service. It was important that the order counter could send a kitchen order ticket quickly so they could take the customer’s order fast and move to the next customer, thereby making lines shorter.

Tillmax Team worked closely with Elite , implementing ICRTouch TouchPoint and TouchOffice Web on hardware throughout the restaurant, along with providing training and support.

The Benefits

EFT integration ensures that the bill total is always accurate. The Kitchen Printer prevents staff walking back and the forth to the kitchen as well as ensuring there are rarely order errors at the restaurant.

They were able to track exactly what was ordered, by whom, and if it has been paid for. As every order is recorded in real time through TouchOffice Web, generating reports for sales, credit card transactions, server's sales, stock, inventory, popular items, profits and loss can be achieved in at any terminal, at any time.

The Results

The new TouchPoint EPoS system has increased the efficiency of the front desk through the intuitive and easy to use interface.

TouchOffice Web, the cloud-based back office allows management to see historical revenue reports or real-time information. Price adjustments, menu changes in the restaurant can be programmed remotely through TouchOffice Web, online from any device.

With ICRTouch products being fully established in the company’s operations, plans are in place for the next two sites and expansion of Elite Indian Restaurant with the assistance of Tillmax Sri Lanka.
