We would like to wish you all a prosperous New Year heading into 2016 as we take a look back at 2015, the most storied and successful year in ICRTouch's 30+ year history.
In January, TouchOfficeWeb hit 20 million sales through EPoS systems with a total value of over £200,000,000, just one year since its launch. The sales values are constantly increasing, showing the rapid growth of the product in the marketplace and a general trend of new accounts being activated every day. Today, less than one year on TouchOfficeWeb has over 3,500 terminals connected and has processed in excess of 70 million sales with a value of a staggering £600,000,000. January also saw a major update released for the popular handheld food and drinks ordering software PocketTouch, including a gesture controlled floor plan, screen rotation and zoom for user precision along with a ton of extra features. You can see the full list of added features here.
In March the much-anticipated TouchPoint 2015 was released. Despite being a product that was first released in 1999 and the most feature-rich, flexible EPoS software on the UK market, TouchPoint 2015 yet again was sporting more than 40 exciting new features over the previous 2014 version including an update to the core scripting engine. This of course set the stage for ICRTouch to ship more TouchPoint licences in one year than in the entire history of the EPoS industry.
ICRTouch also started off the year setting a new industry record for monthly installs, with 1,100 licences being shipped in March. The feat subsequently broke the previous record of 853 (also held by ICRTouch) raising the bar yet again.
14th July 2015 marked the UK release of Apple's latest innovation, Apple Pay. In line with the current trend of secure contactless payment technologies through mobile devices, ICRTouch was able to offer Apple Pay through their industry-leading TouchPoint EPoS system right from day one when accompanied by a SagePay EFT account. Since then the new payment option has been adopted very quickly by iphone6 users. Apple pay is also available though ICRTouch's alternative EFT solution PSConnect.
August was a big month for the online ordering market as ICRTouch announced the arrival of TouchTakeaway, the new online ordering platform created by the developers of the nation's most popular EPoS system, TouchPoint. What was even more exciting was that TouchTakeaway would introduce a fixed monthly low-cost fee with zero transaction costs to knock the conventional pricing structure set by established online ordering vendors on its head. Each account is custom branded to every client with no compulsory promotions, making it the perfect solution for a single mobile street food vendor to a national chain of takeaway restaurants.
The TouchTakeaway product was launched at the national Takeaway Expo at the ExCeL centre, London in October. ICRTouch was showcasing live demonstrations at the event through mobile devices to make instant sales via the cloud to TouchPoint EPoS systems.
In October ICRTouch had 302 new connections to TouchOfficeWeb making it the strongest month for new connections to TouchOfficeWeb since the cloud-based back office solution went live in 2013. By comparison to its closest rival in the market place, TouchOffice (desktop), TouchOfficeWeb installs are outselling the hugely successful TouchOffice (desktop) product month-on-month. TouchOfficeWeb also increased its storage and functionality to remain leaps ahead of the market.
November was a very exciting month for ICRTouch as they announced the construction of a new headquarters at Sandown Airport, Isle of Wight. The new building (formerly a specialist flying school) is being reconstructed to have two storeys, with offices modernised and decorated to have a sleek and clean look fitting of the UK's leading EPoS software company. Here is a sneak peak at the early stages of development on ICRTouch Island.
2015 was the most storied and successful year in the company's 30+ year history; Shipping 10,000 installs, processing 70 million TouchOffice Web sales, purchase of a new headquarters and making a huge impact onto the online ordering market with the release of TouchTakeaway. Just one year on from the 50,000th licence celebration ball, ICRTouch continued on their wave of momentum and sailed passed the 60,000 and 65,000 licence install mark in 2015.
ICRTouch would like to thank you all for your continued love of the nation's favourite EPoS software and wish you all a merry Christmas and prosperous new year.
