UK restaurants that use the ubiquitous TouchPoint EPoS software are now able to offer their customers a mobile app for placing advance food orders and keeping in touch, following the announcement of a link between the new OrderApp, made by Movanta, and Touchpoint from ICRTouch.
OrderApp, Movanta's white label food ordering app, allows restaurants to easily offer a mobile app to their customers. Customers use the app to order food for eat-in, takeaway and delivery. Restaurants not only get additional sales from the app, they can also send out news and offers to their customers.
ICRTouch's TouchPoint software is ubiquitous in the restaurant sector with customers appreciating its ease of use and powerful feature set.
With the link between OrderApp and TouchPoint, customer orders made through the mobile app are immediately sent to the restaurant’s EPOS system – allowing the busy restaurant to easily incorporate mobile orders into its regular workflow.
Charles Allen, COO of Movanta, comments: "The growth in mobile is phenomenal with consumers increasingly using smartphones for their purchases. Our OrderApp product taps into this trend and enables restaurants to have their own app for food ordering. This link with ICRTouch further strengthens the OrderApp product to make it simple and fast to integrate into restaurants. Now all restaurants can be part of the mobile revolution."
James Johnson, CTO of ICRTouch, added: "We have continually innovated and improved our ICRTouch software to keep it ahead of the competition. This partnership with Movanta allows us to harness the power of consumers' mobile phones to help our restaurant customers generate more sales."
