Software Support Technician
ICRTouch is currently seeking another Software Support Technician to add to our ever expanding team. The role will involve helping our resellers look after the ICRTouch suite of EPoS Software products which includes the main EPoS front end; back office; mobile order taking; web based back office and various payment processors. You will be dealing directly with our reseller network, not with the end user, which means that you end up with a relaxed friendly environment to be working in. Full training will be given in-house gradually over a period of 3 months.
Though a good understanding of PCs and PC software is a must, no previous EPoS software experience is neccessary. However, the following would be seen as an advantage:
- A background or qualification in data analysis, statistics or market trend analysis.
- Foreign language speaker, fluent or to business level in one or more of French, German, Italian or Spanish.
- Interest or experience of using EPoS solutions, or previous experience of ICRTouch EPoS software.
- Interest in software programming, web design or software and user interface testing.
ICRTouch has a history of encouraging its staff develop and follow their own career path based on the skills that they bring with them; the support department has been where many of our developers began their career. With this in mind this position would represent an excellent opportunity for those wishing to begin a professional career in software development.
ICRTouch is currently seeking a web designer who possess passion, talent and a flair for designing modern looking websites in HTML & CSS.
The ideal candidate should have an eye for clean and artful web design. You should also have superior user interface design skills, and a proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator or other visual design software.
You must be proactive, able to communicate effectively and able to work on multiple projects with deadlines. You will be liaising directly with our clients to bring their requirements to life, promoting their company's business and branding, and potentially seamlessly integrating with their existing web presence.
You will be using various tools and CMS including WordPress and our own in-house software products such as TouchTakeaway. An interest in PHP, whilst not essential, would be an advantage. Other job duties may require elements of web developer experience, including a working knowledge of web browsers, multiple OS platforms and site maintenance.
Junior PHP Web Developer
Many of the new technologies that we our developing are web based or have a web based back end serving them and as a result we're looking to add another junior php developer to our team.
Ideally we’re looking for someone with a degree in the relevant feild, with an understanding of developing web based applications using PHP and MySQL. Experience in developing desktop applications especially using .net or C++ would also be an advantage.
Above all else, we’re looking for someone with flare who is as passionate about building great software as we are and who doesn’t think that being a software developer is a 9-5 job! We’d like to work with someone with initiative and an opinion who doesn’t wish to blindly follow the specification but more importantly open to looking at new ways that things can be done to further enhance the experience of the user.

These positions are permanent, full time and will be based initially in our Newport office on the Isle of Wight, until the end of March 2017 when we will be moving to a much larger purpose built premises at Sandown, Isle of Wight.
